Art Outside The Lines (AOTL) is a Community Art Studio located in Columbus, Ohio. Our primary program serves adult artists with developmental disabilities. The artists are given the opportunity to work independently and/or in a group setting to create artwork. They are also taught the skills to learn various mediums, build their portfolio, develop interpersonal communication and marketing skills, learn how to curate and hang artwork for shows, and attend arts events around the city.
AOTL is a community space that we integrate with our program. Members of the arts community in Central Ohio are encouraged to become an "Artist Mentor Volunteer" to work collaboratively with our program participants and learn from each other. We consistently offer community art events at the studio and enjoy the participation and support of our community.
AOTL has space available for rent if you are looking for a fun and positive environment to host your meeting, birthday party or private event. We are also open to collaboration with other organizations and field trips so contact us if you are interested!
move. express. create.
At Art Outside the Lines (AOTL) we recognize that the world is full of systems and routines that bog us down and leave little room for creativity. Our philosophy at AOTL is that everyone should be given the space and time to move, express and create. We believe that magical things happen when the community comes together and creates together. No matter who you are, where you come from, or whether you consider yourself to be an artist, this is your space to create.
Art Outside the Lines is the sister company to PALS Chrysalis Health, a day program for adults with disabilities, offering day programming, vocational training, college enrollment, art studio experiences and community outings.
